Role Summary We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco networking, Meraki Wi‑Fi and switching, Palo Alto firewall technologies (including Panorama), and advanced knowledge of wireless, routing, switching, SD‑WAN, Cisco ISE, performance monitoring, and technical consulting. This role is critical in ensuring reliable connectivity, optimal performance, and secure communication across all systems. The Network Engineer will collaborate with IT teams, provide consulting expertise, troubleshoot complex issues, and support infrastructure growth to meet evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, wireless, and SD‑WAN networks

Implement and manage Meraki Wi‑Fi and switching solutions

Configure and maintain Cisco ISE for network access control and policy enforcement

Monitor network performance, health, and capacity trends to ensure optimal operation

Conduct trend analysis to proactively identify potential issues and recommend improvements

Implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols

Manage network hardware (routers, switches, access points) and software tools

Administer Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama for centralized management

Perform hardware and software upgrades, patches, and ongoing maintenance to ensure system reliability

Provide technical consulting to internal teams and stakeholders on network design and optimization

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (security, cloud, application, and operations) to align network solutions with business goals

Document network configurations, policies, and procedures

Provide technical support and training to staff

Collaborate with vendors and service providers for network solutions

Required Skills & Knowledge Core Networking

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)

Hands‑on experience with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls)

Expertise in Meraki Wi‑Fi and switching deployments

Proficiency with Cisco ISE for authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA)

Solid experience in routing and switching technologies

Security

Expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama centralized management

Knowledge of network security practices (IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption)

Familiarity with VPNs, access control, and secure network design

Experience with compliance and security frameworks

Wireless & SD‑WAN

Solid experience in wireless networking (Wi‑Fi design, deployment, troubleshooting)

Knowledge of SD‑WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, Meraki, or similar)

Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Proficiency in troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios)

Monitoring & Analysis

Strong skills in network performance monitoring and health checks

Ability to conduct trend analysis for capacity planning and optimization

Experience with monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Cisco Prime, or similar)

Skilled in problem isolation and root cause analysis

Documentation & Drawings

Ability to create and maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation

Experience with Visio or similar tools for visualizing network architecture

Analysis, Troubleshooting & Consulting

Strong problem isolation skills to identify root causes quickly

Ability to perform in‑depth network analysis for performance and security optimization

Expertise in troubleshooting complex network issues across multi‑vendor environments

Skilled at documenting findings and implementing long‑term solutions

Experience providing technical consulting to guide IT and business teams

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

Understanding of network redundancy, failover, and high availability strategies

Experience supporting disaster recovery planning and testing

Collaboration

Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams (security, cloud, application, operations)

Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts into business language

Ability to lead discussions, present solutions, and influence decision‑making across departments

Leadership & Global Engagement

Experience working with global teams and remote collaboration

Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing

Additional Skills

Ability to script or automate tasks (Python, PowerShell, Bash)

Solid grasp of virtualization and virtual networking

Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE, Meraki CMNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent) preferred

2–5 years of experience in network engineering
