Interim Senior Accounting Manager
Our client, a leading peer-to-peer car-sharing marketplace, is seeking an Interim Senior Accounting Manager to cover an upcoming leave and assist in managing financial reporting processes and ensuring timely, accurate financial statements during a high-growth phase.
The position is remote-friendly (preferably PST or CST), with occasional in-office visits for transition. This engagement has an expected duration of 6 months.
Responsibilities
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, including review of journal entries and reconciliations
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations
Lead and mentor a team of senior and staff accountants, and oversee global accounts payable operations
Serve as primary contact for external auditors and manage PBC requests
Oversee offshore accounting and international teams, ensuring process compliance
Drive operational efficiencies and document policies to scale accounting operations
Lead accounting system implementations and automation initiatives
Research technical accounting issues and assist with new standard adoption
Support ad hoc projects as assigned by leadership
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
7+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred)
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams
Advanced Excel skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
