Q3C is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee Electric operations. This role will nurture existing client relationships and pursue new growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will have prior lineman experience to manage and train team members.
Position Responsibilities
Manages project operations throughout Colorado, suggesting, directing or initiating operational changes and adjustments as required to meet business goals.
Conducts regular, ongoing staff meetings with managers to create an environment of open and effective communication across the operational area.
Monitors and manages the “quality” process within all areas of responsibility, assuring that the workforce, processes, equipment, and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
Monitors and manages overall project profitability, taking corrective action to ensure business performance aligns with expectations.
Establishes and maintains frequent, ongoing contact with current customers and vendors to foster improved communications and long‑term relationships.
Monitors resource sharing across operational areas to optimize effectiveness while prudently managing resources.
Assists the Vice President with the evaluation of capital expenditures and job costs, sharing ideas for savings and efficiencies.
Assists the Division Estimator with the bidding process on new projects.
Develops company personnel and fosters an environment that rewards mentoring and encourages teamwork.
Communicates with the Traffic & Restoration division managers for resource sharing and joint responsibilities for customer job completions.
Cooperates with internal divisions such as Contract Administration, Human Resources, Safety & Training, and Operations on job details and requirements.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
Experience in large‑scale projects or bid work that includes project scope, schedule adherence, milestones, and change orders.
Experience leading distribution (overhead and underground) projects.
Strong ability to read, interpret, and manage financial statements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced computer skills, including Windows‑based software, with the ability to create, analyze and make recommendations for financial and operational changes.
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Compensation:
$150,000 - $200,000 annually (dependent on qualifications and experience).
