We’re looking for a proactive, business-minded Associate General Counsel to partner with our General Counsel in safeguarding the company’s legal and commercial interests. This role is ideal for a confident, hands‑on lawyer who enjoys working closely with senior leaders, managing outside counsel, and shaping practical solutions—not just spotting risks.

Responsibilities

Serve as a key legal advisor to the GC, CEO, and senior leadership on a wide range of matters (commercial, corporate, regulatory, employment, and risk management).

Proactively identify legal risks and opportunities and develop clear, actionable strategies to address them.

Lead and manage complex legal matters and cross‑functional projects, coordinating input from finance, operations, HR, and other teams.

Structure, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements (e.g., technology and licensing agreements, leases, service contracts, strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and other key contracts).

Oversee and manage outside counsel, including scope, strategy, and budget.

Support litigation, mediations, and arbitrations, including case strategy, discovery oversight, and review of key pleadings and documents.

Engage directly with regulators and other external stakeholders, taking “first chair” on appropriate matters.

Provide legal guidance on employment law issues and help shape company policies, procedures, and compliance programs.

Develop expertise in subject areas important to the company (e.g., transportation, hospitality, IP, regulatory affairs) and share that knowledge across the business.

Assist with board‑related matters, including drafting and reviewing board materials and minutes when needed.

Education

J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.

Experience

3–7+ years of legal practice in a law firm and/or in‑house legal department; experience in transportation, hospitality, and/or employment law is a plus.

Strong track record of drafting and negotiating complex agreements and providing practical, business‑oriented advice.

Experience managing outside counsel and significant legal projects or matters.

Excellent judgment, writing, and research skills; able to distill complex issues into clear recommendations.

High level of organization and follow‑through; able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Collaborative style and strong interpersonal skills; able to build trust with leaders at all levels.

Confident, ethical, and solutions‑oriented mindset, with the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast‑moving environment.

If you are excited about shaping legal strategy, partnering with the business, and growing alongside a company in transformation, we would love to hear from you.
