We are a brand‑new behavioral health provider serving Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix region. We opened in February 2022 and now offer a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services. Our modern 120‑bed facility offers specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults, and older adults with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and co‑occurring addictions.
Responsibilities The Director of Intake is accountable for directing the Intake Department activities at the facility. As a clinician, this position provides direction to a staff of the Intake Department including nurses, therapists and coordinators in the provision of psychiatric assessment services, including medical/clinical evaluations, crisis intervention, and referrals. This position interfaces closely with both internal hospital staff, facility physicians, as well as referring hospitals, patients, families, and community referral sources. It monitors and assures timely completion of Intake Department reports and auditing tools as directed by facility/company.

Qualifications Minimum Education:
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or related field required. Will also consider candidates who possess a graduation from an accredited program of professional nursing.
Minimum Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable. Working knowledge of the Addiction & Recovery field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Must have strong management skills with ability to effectively communicate with staff, ensuring proper employee performance management.
Preferred Experience:
Leadership experience in similar role is preferred.
Preferred Certification/License:
R.N., L.C.S.W., L.M.S.W., LPC or applicable license.
Supervises:
Intake Therapists, Intake Coordinators, Intake Nurses.
