Patient Care Manager (RN), Oncology – Outpatient Clinics
A Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for leading and managing outpatient oncology clinics (Cutaneous Oncology, Head & Neck Oncology, and Endocrine Oncology) within Stanford Health Care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide unit leadership and ensure competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care.
Coordinate patient care, supervise nursing and other staff, manage administrative and budgeting functions.
Plan and forecast departmental budgets, analyze financial performance, and implement staffing and scheduling controls.
Direct personnel management, including hiring, training, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions in compliance with labor laws.
Lead quality improvement and safety initiatives, monitor patient and staff satisfaction, and implement evidence‑based practices.
Maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
Develop and support professional development opportunities for nursing staff.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Experience Qualifications
Three (3) years of progressively responsible nursing experience.
Preferred: One (1) year of leadership experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Apply health‑care policy and multidisciplinary collaboration to improve patient care.
Delegate and supervise effectively, develop and lead process improvement projects.
Strategic planning and business management for a functional group.
Implement change and promote quality and safety improvements.
Leadership, coaching, mentorship, and effective communication.
Utilize technology to support patient‑care decisions.
In-depth understanding of nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of health‑care systems, hospital administration, and operational management.
Licenses and Certifications
California Registered Nurse license.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Compensation Base Pay Scale: $89.01 – $117.94 per hour; final salary determined by experience, education, and other factors.
