Supervisor Quality Assurance
Location: Indianapolis
Pay Range: 65,000 – 78,000 (Salaried)
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 12-hour shifts, every other Monday (potential 2-2-3 alternative)

Job Overview The Supervisor, Quality Assurance (QA) will lead and develop assigned quality personnel and provide guidance for cross‑functional teams to support the quality and food safety requirements of the products produced and shipped from their location. The role also supports and enforces the certification, regulatory, customer, and brand requirements and implements continuous improvement projects to meet these requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities Supervise, lead, and motivate a team on the manufacturing floor and QA Lab, communicating company goals including quality, customer satisfaction, safety practices, and deadlines. Engage and develop teammates through effective performance management, coaching, and training. Implement continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership. Manage and support the Consolidated Management System (CMS) program, ensuring company quality assurance specifications and regulatory requirements are met; serve as the program owner and perform internal audits. Process laboratory data, monitor accuracy through exception reporting, analyze data, recognize unfavorable trends, and make process improvement recommendations. Support and assist in audits from internal and external regulatory, certification, customer, and brand sources.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Manufacturing experience and food industry knowledge. Familiarity with lab equipment and testing within a manufacturing environment. Math and analytical skills and problem‑solving ability. Computer skills including MS Office, statistical software, SAP, Kronos preferred. Knowledge of sanitation and beverage processes. Familiar with High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) technology. Knowledge of microbial and aseptic techniques. Ability to multitask in team development, time management, and effective communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment with seasonal temperatures, flexible shifts, and weekend and holiday work based on business needs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time; walking manufacturing floor; climbing stairs; lift up to 25lbs.
Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school. Knowledge acquired through 1–3 years of work experience. Background in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or Health Sciences.
Preferred Qualifications Degree or experience in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or Health Sciences.
Work Environment Noisy, wet, and extreme temperature environment.
