We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Programmer (COBOL) to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of large-scale enterprise mainframe applications. This role works closely with business analysts, QA teams, and system administrators to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient mainframe solutions for critical business operations.
Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain COBOL-based mainframe applications.
Analyze, debug, and optimize legacy and new code to improve performance and stability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Perform data analysis, file handling, and batch processing using JCL and VSAM.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Prepare and maintain documentation including system designs, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe development with a strong focus on COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
Experience with DB2, CICS, and batch processing is preferred.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.

Additional Details The base range for this contract position is $65 - $75 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations.
