Base Pay Range $65.00/hr – $75.00/hr (contract position)
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain COBOL‑based mainframe applications.
Analyze, debug, and optimize legacy and new code to improve performance and stability.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Perform data analysis, file handling, and batch processing using JCL and VSAM.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Prepare and maintain documentation including system designs, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
3+ years of hands‑on experience in mainframe development with a strong focus on COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
Experience with DB2, CICS, and batch processing is preferred.
Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality deliverables.
