Job Description Job Overview
The Lead Implementation Consultant drives the successful delivery of technology solutions across multiple programs and clients.
The Lead provides strategic and operational leadership to teams of Implementation Consultants, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability in delivery.
The Lead also acts as a Customer Success Manager for key or high‑impact clients, serving as a trusted advisor and point of escalation.
This role is ideal for a seasoned implementation professional with expertise in enterprise delivery, stakeholder management, SaaS technologies (Salesforce, Magento, Drupal, etc.) and cross‑functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Implementation Leadership
Oversee and guide multiple concurrent implementation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Serve as mentor and escalation point, providing guidance on complex configurations and delivery risks.
Establish and enforce implementation standards, templates, and best practices.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Lead relationships for high‑impact clients, ensuring needs are understood and prioritized.
Build and maintain relationships with senior client stakeholders, aligning platform capabilities with strategic goals.
Deliver clear, concise presentations on strategy, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
Cross‑Project Coordination & Governance
Coordinate across project teams for resource alignment and risk mitigation.
Collaborate with shared services to prioritize and sequence work.
Monitor project health metrics and address delivery risks proactively.
Implementation Oversight & Standards Assurance
Ensure configurations and processes align with platform standards and business requirements.
Review outputs from requirement gathering and solutioning to confirm deliverables meet expectations.
Maintain documentation that is complete, consistent, and aligned with guidelines.
Training & Support
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Lead retrospectives and post‑mortems to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
Contribute to evolving the implementation methodology and knowledge base.
Training & Enablement
Coach and support consultants in technical and client‑facing skills.
Lead internal training sessions and develop onboarding materials.
Serve as subject‑matter expert for platform capabilities and strategy.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
8–12+ years of implementation, consulting, or project leadership experience, preferably in a SaaS or professional services environment.
Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing complex client relationships.
Skills & Competencies
Advanced knowledge of implementation methodologies, SDLC, and enterprise project management.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, influencing without direct authority.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a matrixed environment.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management, including executive presence.
Deep expertise in configuring and deploying commercial SaaS platforms.
Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana).
Analytical mindset focused on risk management and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a hybrid professional services environment.
Knowledge of agile methodologies or experience working in agile teams.
Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or agile practices (Scrum Master).
Familiarity with customer engagement frameworks and enterprise account management strategies.
Compensation Range $83,000.00 - $124,600.00 USD per year.
Salary determined based on internal equity, market data, and applicant experience.
