Job Summary Each day at Taziki’s is a little different – part of what keeps it exciting! You might have an opening or closing shift. For an opening shift you help the prep crew ready the store for lunch service, prepare catering orders, monitor food safety practices, and greet guests. In the afternoons you manage shift change, help on the line, and prepare for dinner orders. For a PM shift you support the team during busy online ordering hours, serve Dine‑In guests, and finish the shift by preparing prep sheets for the next day.

Responsibilities

Serving guests and building meaningful connections

Opening and closing tasks

Assuming responsibility for the restaurant when a manager isn’t on duty

Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team

Mastering menu and product knowledge

Supporting or working stations when needed (including kitchen)

Prepping food and performing side work

Following proper cash handling and payment procedures

Maintaining Health Department standards each shift

Following proper Alcohol Handling policies and procedures

Proper food handling and storage of food products

Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age

Prior food service experience preferred

Leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities

Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures

Energetic, ready to learn, loves fresh food

Work flexible schedule

Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy

Must have or obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment

All Employees Must

Understand and abide by all company standards and policies (provided in your handbook)

Obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment

Your Working Conditions/Hours

Morning shift – 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Evening shift – 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Weekends – when applicable

Holidays – when applicable (Closed Thanksgiving & Christmas)
