Overview Out of School Time (OST) program at Episcopal Community Services is looking for Group Supervisors to lead OST programs at Feltonville Intermediate School. The program provides a safe, nurturing environment that supports children’s development through enrichment activities, academic assistance, field trips, service learning, physical activity, and nutritious snacks and meals.
Job Summary The Group Supervisor certifies that appropriate projects and programs are developed and executed by following policies and procedures that meet the expectations of the contract’s Key Performance Indicators. The supervisor coordinates with the Site Director on project-based learning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Site Director in coordinating, creating, facilitating, and supporting Project Learning, Literacy, Career Awareness, and SEL approaches that complement the preexisting curriculum aligned with PA Common Core Standards.
Ensure best‑practice standards are incorporated into the curriculum for youth.
Facilitate partnerships with public and private agencies that provide services to students and families.
Maintain communication with school personnel and parents about students’ social‑emotional learning needs.
Supervise youth actively and provide program support at the site.
Develop opportunities for students to experience academic enrichment in various ways.
Assist with community outreach, recruitment, and retention of children, youth, and adults to participate in all OST activities.
Provide professional development opportunities for 21st CCLC staff.
Attend grant‑management meetings and professional development as required.
Promote OST and youth programs and activities at the school‑based location.
Provide programming for students after the conclusion of the academic day until 6 PM.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Education preferred; three years of related experience.
Experience teaching groups of youth in a classroom and strong classroom‑management skills.
Knowledge of child developmental education and experience working with minority and underprivileged populations.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe products, CRM/database, and project‑management software.
Hours & Compensation Monday–Friday 12 pm‑6 pm (30 hours weekly). Regular summer hours and occasional weekends. Starting rate $19.50 – $20.54 per hour.
