Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine is recruiting a Pediatric Urologist (collateral, non‑tenure track faculty) to support teaching, research and clinical responsibilities within the Division of Pediatric Urology.

Mission or Goal of Unit The mission of the Pediatric Urology Division is the advancement of science through research and training of undergraduate and graduate students. The Division fosters research and professional activity essential to faculty growth, provides junior faculty with clinical and research experiences, and is committed to enhancing diversity among its faculty, staff and students.
Chief Purpose of this Position The Division seeks a collateral, non‑tenure track faculty member who will teach all areas of Pediatric Urology, establish a successful research program, and develop a clinical practice. The faculty member will support general surgical practice and teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Position Responsibilities
Teaching:
Faculty member will have teaching responsibilities in all areas of Pediatric Urology.
Research:
Establish a successful research program in partnership with other disciplines, leading to independent funding as an investigator.
Clinical:
Faculty will establish a successful clinical practice in pediatric urology; clinical responsibilities may involve shared time between VCU and affiliated community hospitals.
Other:
Serve on departmental and/or university committees as necessary and in a professional capacity (reviewer, conference organizer, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications
Board‑certified/board‑eligible in Urology and Pediatric Urology.
ACGME‑approved Fellowship in Pediatric Urology.
Ability to work in a complex matrixed environment with high emotional intelligence.
Commitment to teaching and practice in an academic setting.
Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students, or a commitment to do so at VCU.
Salary Range Commensurate.
