Overview
Our healthcare client is launching an enterprise imaging modernization initiative, transitioning from
Canon PACS
to
Sectra . We are seeking a
high-energy, people-centric Project Manager
who can drive this implementation with strong functional leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to keep teams aligned, informed, and engaged. This role requires a PM who is organized, proactive, and great with people—while still possessing enough technical PACS experience to effectively guide vendors and internal teams. Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Functional Management
Own the full project lifecycle—from planning and discovery through build, testing, go-live, and stabilization. Develop and manage detailed project plans, workstreams, timelines, risk mitigation strategies, and status reporting. Keep cross-functional teams engaged, motivated, and moving forward in a positive, collaborative environment. Drive decision‑making and maintain clear communication with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Facilitate fun, productive, and well-structured meetings with radiology, cardiology, IT, and imaging operations teams. Serve as the main point of contact for project updates, ensuring executive leaders, clinicians, and technical teams receive clear, actionable information. Act as the “glue” of the project—building strong relationships, resolving conflicts, and maintaining buy‑in throughout the implementation. Coordinate with
Canon
and
Sectra
teams to ensure deliverables, dependencies, and timelines are met. Collaborate closely with integration teams, imaging analysts, and modality vendors to keep the migration on track. Workflow Optimization
Lead workflow validation sessions and support future‑state design for radiology and imaging departments. Partner with operational leaders to ensure Sectra meets clinical needs and aligns with imaging best practices. Technical Oversight (Light Hands‑On)
Support technical planning around integrations, modality connectivity, EMR interfaces, and image/data migration. Provide functional guidance rather than deep technical configuration—escalating technical items to SMEs appropriately. Plan and lead go‑live readiness, cutover coordination, and command center operations. Maintain strong morale and an organized structure during the go‑live period. Required Experience & Qualifications
5+ years of project management experience in healthcare IT, including PACS or enterprise imaging implementations. Strong functional PM skill set with a track record of leading cross‑functional teams in high‑visibility projects. Experience with
Canon, Sectra, or similar PACS platforms
(functional familiarity required; deep configuration experience not necessary). Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills. Ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining a positive and collaborative team culture. PMP or similar certification preferred. Preferred Attributes
High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills. Energetic, collaborative, and able to bring structure and positivity to complex projects. Comfortable navigating both clinical and technical conversations. Experience working in large health systems or multi‑hospital environments. Seniority Level
