The Senior Application Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-scale applications across both on-prem and cloud environments. This role combines deep technical expertise in Java, API development, cloud engineering, and modern DevOps practices with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate excels in building scalable solutions, driving platform modernization efforts, and supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position is suited for a proactive, detail-oriented engineer who thrives on innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality application solutions that support business growth.
Position Summary: Design, develop, and deploy enterprise Java (J2EE) and web applications across on-prem and cloud environments. Build scalable, secure applications and support testing, deployment, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, and business teams to define technical requirements and deliverables. Review code, enforce best practices, and support cross-functional, distributed teams. Maintain and enhance CRM API and MDM platforms and assist with migrations to cloud architectures. Support and develop SOAP/REST APIs and data integrations across systems. Maintain CI/CD pipelines and help transition to cloud-based automation tools. Troubleshoot issues, review logs, and perform root cause analysis.
Minimum Experience: At least 7 years of application development experience with strong Java, J2EE, and full-stack engineering skills. Experience building reusable components and working in large-scale enterprise environments. Hands-on cloud development experience (AWS required; Azure a plus). Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices. Strong skills in SQL, NoSQL, and cloud databases (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Aurora, DB2). Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, and related frameworks/tools (Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, Git, etc.). Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and project management abilities. Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
