Role: Box Office Manager Live Nation is seeking a qualified Box Office Manager to oversee ticketing operations for concert venues. This detail‑oriented role requires excellent organizational skills, professional interaction with management personnel, partners, and guests, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Responsibilities
Serve as the main Ticketing contact for all events at the assigned venue(s).
Develop strong working relationships with promoters, ticketing staff, guests, and affiliated partners.
Manage hiring, training, scheduling, and day‑to‑day supervision of all Box Office personnel.
Ensure all staff adheres to company ticket operations policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal departments and external event personnel to meet ticketing needs.
Organize nightly Box Office operations during events (Ticket Sales, Will Call, Ticketing Scanning, etc.).
Create a positive, collaborative work environment and maintain staff morale.
Ensure exceptional customer service to all guests and proactively resolve issues.
Build and maintain event records in ticketing software.
Assist talent buyers, tour personnel, and internal staff with event programming, reporting, ticket holds, and other details.
Set‑up events, place holds, process orders, and release tickets in a timely fashion.
Monitor ticket inventory and collaborate with the Pricing team to dynamically price tickets.
Partner with Ancillary Product team and Venue General Manager to create and optimise ancillary products.
Ensure ADA compliant ticketing practices.
Maintain accurate accounting records, perform daily safe reconciliation, prepare deposits, and run financial reporting.
Participate in event settlements as needed.
Monitor ticketing software and hardware, report issues immediately.
Embrace new ticketing technology (e.g., TM1 Entry, TM1 Sales, TM1 Events).
Keep current with key ticketing trends in the entertainment industry.
Attend relevant meetings, discussions, and conferences as the venue’s ticketing lead.
Perform any additional duties assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or comparable work experience.
2–3 years of experience as a Box Office Manager or representative, including management level work experience.
Strong knowledge of customer service, computer operations, and accounting/cash management procedures.
Understanding of Ticketing systems (Ticketmaster Host, Archtics, AccountManager, TM1 product suite).
Previous experience managing season ticket business and ancillary products such as VIP parking and club offerings.
Leadership skills: engaging staff, prioritising, organising, motivating, problem‑solving, delegating, communication, diffusing volatile situations.
Diplomatic communication skills across all levels of business.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
Detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
