POSITION SUMMARY The Cultivation Supervisor oversees and supports the cultivation team to ensure seamless operations and the production of high‑quality cannabis. The role assists in day‑to‑day management across the various parts of the cultivation facility, including but not limited to cloning, vegetation, transplanting, flowering, pruning, irrigation, nutrient systems, IPM, harvest, waste disposal, and inventory management. The Supervisor ensures detailed records are maintained to meet company quality standards and state compliance expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the management of a large‑scale cultivation facility.

Lead a team of Cultivation Leads and Associates in the performance of cultivation tasks such as watering, feeding, defoliating, transplanting, organizing, cleaning cultivation spaces, and operator‑level maintenance in the vegetative garden space.

Lead and support additional department functions such as sanitation, room preparation, mother plant care, cloning, and more.

Ensure product integrity and maintain plant quality throughout cloning, growth, and harvest.

Document and facilitate effective training of the entire cultivation team.

Support core metrics (quantity, quality, and productivity objectives) for the department.

Track and record compliance with the state seed‑to‑sale e‑system MJ Freeway and DOH regulations.

Train and coach team members in accordance with SOP.

Utilize and maintain production data files, records, and reports such as the Daily Hour‑by‑Hour Tracker, load plans, grow schedules, and plant inventory.

Manage department‑specific HR functions including scheduling, employee coaching, and year‑end reviews.

Perform all tasks from clone to harvest, providing coaching to team members as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Execute schedule to meet production requirements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Responsible for department and facility KPIs to ensure a culture of continuous improvement.

Stay current on industry best practices and emerging techniques.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of cannabis strains.

Adhere to Curaleaf SOPs and state compliance regulations.

Follow all HR policies, including confidentiality and non‑disclosure requirements.

Manage staff over weekends and holidays as required.

Work on a rotational weekend schedule as needed.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position directly supervises the work activities of others and makes recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal, and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum qualifications:

At least 3 years of cannabis cultivation experience.

Minimum 2 years of management experience supervising 5+ team members.

Strong expertise in multiple media, irrigation techniques, crop rotation, light requirements, environmental controls, plant diseases, pests, nutrient deficiencies, and cannabis genetics.

Proven ability to build a cohesive team and manage employee performance with confidence.

Strong time‑management skills and ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Commitment to confidentiality and compliance in all aspects of the role.

Preferred qualifications:

Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, or Six Sigma is a plus.

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and compliance standards in cannabis cultivation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Regular duties require standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, using hands to finger or feel, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs). The position requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), peripheral vision, and depth perception. Additional hazards include dust, pollen, plant pathogens, cleaning solvents, PPE use, confined spaces, loud noises, CO₂ exposure, and a high‑stress, adaptable environment.
