Job Description: Strong data modeler with 3 years of experience in BI/Data Warehousing required to develop a new complex data warehouse. The candidate should have experience in designing data warehouse models and be able to own the entire data model design lifecycle from conceptual to physical, with a strong understanding of ETL and BI principles. Responsibilities
Design data warehouse models and schemas (Relational, Star Schema, Data Vault, or ODS). Define data models for large-scale data warehouses. Work with business requirements to capture, model, and communicate complex mappings, transformations, calculations, lookups, joins and business rules. Develop and tune data structures for performance. Capture and communicate data mappings and transformations to stakeholders. Possess knowledge of data governance concepts including data dictionaries, glossaries, catalogs, impact analysis, data lineage, data quality, data procurement and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, and PII). Utilize data modeling tools (ERWIN, ERSTUDIO and/or SQL Developer Data Modeler) and databases (Oracle, Teradata, Postgres, SQL Server, Hana, Big Data, Snowflake, Redshift). Familiar with data governance tools (Calibra, Alation, Informatica EDC, Axon, IDQ) and data virtualization concepts (Denodo). Collaborate across Agile delivery landscapes including development, support, and deployment. Communicate with business stakeholders to capture requirements and provide analytical feedback. Qualifications
1-3 years of experience; Bachelor’s Degree. Progressing skills in Software Engineering Techniques, Architecture, Lifecycle and Data Management. Baseline skills in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design. Languages: SQL, PL-SQL, T-SQL; J/ODBC, JSON. Experience with data modeling tools and databases as listed above.
