Job Description - Director I (226 Days) REVISED (RTP20251121-003) Job Description Director I (226 Days) REVISED - ( RTP20251121-003 ) Description Create and execute external marketing campaigns using a variety of media avenues, showcasing opportunities to Dallas ISD students and generating excitement as the result of new construction projects at district facilities.

Develop and maintain the bond program brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms including but not limited to web, print, signage, social, video, and media.

Build and execute a comprehensive communication strategy for the bond, creating a clear narrative around the initiative’s purpose, leveraging relationships with community partners to share how the new/renovated facilities will help districts, neighborhoods, and communities.

Translate complex technical and construction information into assessable public updates on milestones and key events.

Lead communication efforts that demonstrate fiscal responsibility and transparency, ensuring compliance with any legal and public reporting requirements around bond audit communications or expenditure summaries.

Oversee community events ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, dedication ceremonies, and bond meetings with the community to build excitement around new and renovated facilities.

Develop a robust database of key community stakeholders, internal and external, to serve as ambassadors for sharing district messaging, and provide training, strategic touch points, and collateral to share within their networks.

Create the Realtor Certification Program to equip realtors with accurate, positive information about district schools, programs, and achievements, strengthening community narrative and trust.

Anticipate and manage any potential issues or negative publicity surrounding construction delays, budget adjustments or community concerns.

Work in partnership with campus staff to deliver key messages through various forms of media, including district website, social media, email newsletters, signs, brochures, flyers, posters and meetings.

Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree from accredited university, Communications, media, marketing, journalism or related field.

Required 5+ years of experience managing external communications for a similar large organization or school district.

General knowledge of construction programs with the ability to understand project scopes, timelines, and budgets.

Experience with media buys and advertising campaigns targeting diverse communities.

Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with all levels.

General understanding of community stakeholder dynamics and an awareness of how construction ties to programmatic outcomes.

Possess strong organizational, time management, and human relations skills.

Ability to adapt to emerging forms of communication, including social media and video.

Ability to successfully convey the story of transformation with compelling visuals and narratives.

Understanding of Dallas’ neighborhoods and history preferred.
