Description The Director of Partnerships and Volunteer Engagement provides strategic leadership for the development, coordination, and evaluation of districtwide partnership and volunteer initiatives. This role strengthens collaboration between schools and business, civic, faith-based, and community organizations to support student achievement and staff engagement. The Director oversees key programs, systems, and recognition efforts that promote meaningful stakeholder involvement while ensuring compliance with district policies and procedures. Responsibilities include supervising team members, managing partnership and volunteer data systems, leading recruitment strategies, and representing the district in community and professional settings. The Director works closely with principals, campus staff, and district departments to cultivate strong relationships, enhance engagement opportunities, and maintain a high-quality service experience for volunteers and partners

Provide strategic leadership for all district Partnership and Volunteer Engagement (PVE) programs, including recognition initiatives, celebrations, and key stakeholder engagement.

Develop and implement a districtwide strategic partnership plan to guide donation collection, documentation, partner development, and volunteer engagement in alignment with district policies and best practices.

Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive volunteer management framework for campuses, including metrics, documentation procedures, and staff training.

Create and manage strategic initiatives to recruit, engage, and retain volunteers and partners from business, civic, education, and faith-based communities.

Coordinate programs and collaborative efforts with local chambers and stakeholder organizations to advance district educational priorities.

Oversee the partnership and donation database system, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and documentation of contributions districtwide; provide training and support to campus staff.

Supervise, coach, and evaluate PVE team members, providing leadership to ensure high-quality program delivery.

Select, implement, and oversee the district’s volunteer management system, including volunteer screening in collaboration with the Volunteer Review Committee to ensure student and staff safety.

Manage the collection, analysis, and reporting of partnership and volunteer data, creating timely reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Lead coordinated recruitment strategies for volunteers and partners, ensuring collaboration across diverse community sectors.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, including donors, volunteers, principals, campus personnel, and district departments.

Conduct partnership orientations, outreach, and engagement presentations for schools, businesses, and community groups to communicate PVE expectations and opportunities.

Utilize effective communication tools and platforms to recruit, guide, recognize, and retain volunteers and partners across the district.

Represent the department at meetings, events, and community engagements to support new initiatives and strengthen stakeholder relationships.

Assist with annual budget planning, program development, special projects, and other duties that support the overall mission of the PVE department.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required in Business, public or community relations, or related field.

10+ years of direct experience in Education, non-profit, volunteer management and community involvement.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage staff performance, oversee programs and budgets, and ensure compliance with district policies and procedures.

Skill in developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic plans that align with district goals, partnership objectives, and volunteer engagement initiatives.

Strong knowledge and experience in cultivating, sustaining, and evaluating partnerships with business, civic, faith-based, and community organizations, including volunteer recruitment and management.

Understanding of school district structures, operations, policies, and procedures, with the ability to navigate and support campus- and district-level needs.

Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to create professional presentations using business software and deliver them to diverse audiences.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, provide high-quality customer service, and serve as the district leader in partnership recognition efforts

Demonstrated effectiveness working with diverse populations, including cross-cultural communication, community outreach, and engagement with multilingual or multicultural groups.

Ability to resolve conflicts, maintain positive working relationships, and interact professionally with colleagues, parents, partners, and community members.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate events, manage multiple projects concurrently, meet deadlines, and support staff and volunteers effectively.

Experience using content management systems, volunteer or partnership databases, and communication platforms to support program operations and reporting.
