The Event Manager provides strategic leadership in the planning, execution, staff utilization, and resource optimization for Funko events. This role upholds Funko’s commitment to exceptional fan experiences and service standards while driving cross-departmental communication and collaboration. The Senior Event Manager leads large-scale, high-impact productions, partnering with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to deliver seamless, memorable events.

What You’ll Do

Partner with internal teams to develop detailed floor plans, build drawings, and event guides for on-site execution

Independently manage and oversee all components of large-scale events and experiential campaigns

Demonstrate leadership, expertise, management, and consultation skills when conducting business with vendors and team members

Anticipate potential risks and implement proactive solutions to ensure successful event delivery

Manage high volumes of work while maintaining accuracy, quality, and adherence to deadlines

Actively contribute to project team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align on solutions

Ensure adherence to Funko’s best practices, policies, and operational standards across all event functions

Delegate responsibilities effectively to staff at multiple levels and monitor progress toward objectives

Conduct regular check-ins with team members, providing clear expectations, constructive feedback, and performance recognition

Create post-event evaluations to assess outcomes, capture learnings, and identify areas for continuous improvement

Actively contribute to departmental meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional initiatives

What You’ll Bring

3+ years of experience in convention and large-scale event operations

Experience with creative brand activation

Experience supervision and providing direction to brand ambassadors

Proven track record of budgeting, timelines, and operational efficiencies for events

Experience providing on-site event support

Demonstrated success working cross-functionally and in vendor/partner management

Excels in understanding who the Funko Fan is, what they want, and how to make the intended experience come to life for all

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate risks and implement solutions

Excellent communication, influencing, and consensus-building abilities

Adept at developing and recommending process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness

Highly organized, proactive, and able to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships across levels and functions

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced skills in Excel required

Familiarity with project management tools and systems preferred

Ability to travel domestically up to 20–30% of the time

Salary Information The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $73,600 - $92,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
