Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. (SIA) – Project Accountant
SIA is seeking an entry‑level Project Accountant located in San Jose, CA, Denver, CO, or Charlotte, NC. The Project Accountant will manage financial information related to projects, monitor progress, investigate variances, approve expenses, and ensure billings and payments are processed.
Primary Responsibilities
Communicate and collaborate with Project Managers regarding contract documents, scope changes, amendments, approvals, financial status, and additional services.
Generate and interpret financial records and statements for management, projects, profitability, opportunities for additional billings, and remaining backlog.
Respond to client requests and investigate variances, unbilled expenses, and unpaid contract billings.
Create and close out opportunities and projects in NetSuite and Box.com as appropriate.
Maintain project‑related records, including contracts and change orders in Box.com.
Review and approve subcontractor invoices, project billings to customers, and write‑off of billings that cannot be billed to or collected from customers.
Assist with customer invoicing.
Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of experience, including internship experience in project accounting or related field.
BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business – a plus.
Knowledge of project contracts and change order documents.
Familiarity or experience with financial project tasks, including budget control, invoicing, or creating sales orders within ERP systems.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Experience with NetSuite and Box.com – a plus.
Salary Range $75,700-$84,100
