Continuum Associates (CA) is a leading renewable energy project development consulting and advisory firm with focus on grid technical and analytical studies. CA provides engineering, technical, and quant-heavy services for power project development from concept to completion across North America and globally. The team brings together extensive experience across renewable energy technologies, including offshore and onshore wind, solar PV, and battery energy storage projects. CA works on grid-related studies and analysis for renewable energy projects in ISOs and RTOs across North America, including PJM, MISO, NYISO, CAISO, and ISO‑NE. CA also develops software for the renewable energy industry and works with solar, wind, and battery developers to bring more renewable energy onto the grid.
We are hiring a Head of Engineering or Engineering Manager to play a pivotal role in the growth of Continuum Associates in India. Minimum industry experience required: 12–15 years with an excellent academic pedigree from top-tier technical institutes (IIT/NIT/IISc). Strong engineering background in power system analysis with modeling skills is required.

Technical Expertise & Experience Required:
Aim and strive to lead Continuum Associates LLC’s India team across a diverse set of verticals and functions.
Develop and lead a team of highly talented engineers.
Strong project management skills in power system studies on renewable energy grid integration (onshore/offshore wind, solar).
Establish top-level expertise as a power system expert internally and externally with clients.
Perform data analysis related to bulk transmission, distributed generation, and power quality studies.
Write engineering reports with objective and concise writing and presentation skills.
Strong experience in one or more of these areas: transmission and distribution planning, renewable grid integration studies, power system economics and reliability.
Lead engineering studies on solar, wind, energy storage plants, and utility power systems.
Expert knowledge of power system simulation tools such as PSCAD/EMTDC, PSS/E, Simulink for Power Systems, PSLF, etc. Proficiency in PSS/E and/or PSCAD is a MUST and REQUIRED.
Strong understanding of power electronics and related principles for inverter/converter design and wind turbine generators (Type 3 and Type 4).
Programming skills in Python or another major language and/or data analysis tools such as Excel Macro, R, etc.
Relevant work experience in power systems, wind farms, solar PV farms, energy storage, or consulting engineering in similar industries.
BTech/BE/MTech/ME in Electrical Engineering with ongoing learning to stay current.
5+ years’ experience leading a design team in a consulting engineering environment.
Responsibilities
Lead a diverse India team across multiple verticals and functions.
Mentor and develop engineers; build a high-performing team from the ground up.
Communicate with employees, clients, and partners to align goals, directives, and expectations; demonstrate negotiation, conflict resolution, and coaching skills.
Contribute to the development of cutting-edge tools for market release.
Serve as a power system expert internally and for CA’s clients.
Ensure high standards of professional conduct while working remotely.
Education & Qualifications
B Tech/BE or ME/MTech in Electrical Engineering; courses in Electrical Power Engineering or Power Systems.
Academic credentials from leading technical institutes; PhD preferred (experience may compensate for degree).
Experience & Communications
Experience with balance of plant (BoP) components and systems; knowledge including transformer, switchgear, cables/overhead lines, reactors, STATCOM, and IS/IEEE grounding design calculations.
Ability to interact with lenders, owners, and global teams; excellent written and spoken English required.
Proven ability to manage and mentor teams; strong organizational and leadership skills; ability to perform under tight timelines.
