Responsibilities
Build and wire control panels, including layout, labeling, and documentation
Integrate sensors, valves, relays, and actuators with PLCs, Arduinos, and robot controllers
Install and maintain safety hardware such as e-stops, interlocks, and safety relays
Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and electromechanical subsystems
Support bring-up and testing of robotic cells on the shop floor
Assist with mechanical assembly of vises, grippers, camera mounts, and other fixtures
Work closely with engineers to resolve issues and improve reliability
Support field installations and on-site debugging at customer facilities
Qualifications
2–5 years of hands‑on experience in controls, automation, or industrial equipment
Experience building and wiring control panels
Familiarity with sensors, relays, pneumatics, and basic PLC or microcontroller integration
Understanding of industrial safety hardware and standards
Ability to read schematics and electrical drawings
Comfortable working in labs, factories, and around robotics equipment
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Willingness to travel for installations and support
Nice to Have
Experience with ABB or Yaskawa robots
Experience with Siemens or Allen‑Bradley PLCs
Experience with machine vision hardware
CAD familiarity for simple mechanical assemblies
