Controls Engineer
to own automation for test stands and production equipment—where software, hardware, and safety‑critical systems all meet. What You’ll Do
Design, implement, and maintain control systems for factory and test infrastructure (sensors, actuators, motion, safety interlocks). Develop Python‑based control software for real‑time control, sequencing, data acquisition, and hardware comms (Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT, RS‑485, TCP/IP). Configure and support PLCs, industrial PCs, or embedded controllers; lead bring‑up, debugging, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and test teams on requirements, interfaces, and integration. Document architectures, procedures, and operator instructions; ensure systems meet OSHA / NFPA 79 / ISO 13849 or similar standards. Minimum Qualifications
3+ years building and deploying real‑world control systems in test or production environments. Strong Python skills for automation and hardware integration. Experience with industrial comms (Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT, RS‑485) and PLCs / industrial PCs / embedded controllers. Comfortable around high‑voltage, high‑pressure, or high‑speed equipment with a strong safety mindset. Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Controls Engineering (or equivalent experience). Preferred
Background in aerospace, EV/automotive, robotics, or advanced manufacturing. (Automation Heavy) Experience with NI hardware/software, SCADA, or real‑time data logging. Knowledge of industrial safety system design; familiarity with Linux and Git. Applicants don’t need to check every box to apply. Must be a
