Job Summary We seek an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in managing the construction of hospital and/or academic research facilities. Responsibilities include managing complex capital projects exceeding $10 million, overseeing budgets, change orders, schedules, contractor GMPs, and quality control to meet industry and institutional standards.
Key duties involve leading design and construction teams, ensuring successful completion and occupancy, reviewing hospital facilities, executing necessary work, recommending capital replacements, and addressing critical quality and safety issues.
Work Location Dallas Campus; onsite 100% of the time, with possible travel to other UTSW facilities across the DFW metro area.
Shift Requirement Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Experience
8 years of project management experience or equivalent
Prior construction project management experience
Advanced degree may be used in lieu of years of experience
Preferred
Design and construction experience with academic healthcare and/or research facilities
Project management or construction management focus in healthcare, academic, or research facilities
Job Duties
Collaborate with senior management, owners, and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
Coordinate development of full‑scale project plans and communication documents
Set and manage project expectations, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts
Plan and schedule timelines using appropriate tools; track milestones and deliverables
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations
Build and grow relationships critical to project success
Mentor other project managers and supervise staff performance
Conduct post‑project reviews and create recommendation reports
Provide on‑site leadership to meet project goals and milestones
Own entire project life cycle from initiation to deployment for major or multiple initiatives
Manage all aspects of related projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
Establish practices, templates, policies, and partnerships to mature organizational capabilities
Provide status reporting on milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues
Drive feasibility studies, vendor selections, and proposals for stakeholder evaluation
Act as an internal quality control check for the project
Ensure projects proceed according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
Manage project issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline
Perform other duties as assigned
