Kraken's Penn Quarter location is situated in Washington Downtown DC, and offers guests an opportunity to release their inner Kraken! Onsite activities include axe throwing and rage rooms, and cater to groups large and small for the ultimate bonding experience.
About the role Unit managers are expected to lead the team in providing outstanding service that surpasses our guests' needs and anticipations. An adept Unit Manager excels in bustling, high-stress situations and maintains a keen awareness of both guests' and team members' requirements. They possess strong problem‑solving abilities, collaborating with their team to resolve any service‑related concerns or inquiries to the guests' contentment. Their role involves blending professionalism with a friendly demeanor, ensuring uniformity in both service and product quality.
What you'll do
Lead the management team in delivering the unexpected to our guests.
Run weekly manager meetings to share knowledge and understanding of upcoming events and information.
Uphold an orderly and tidy front‑of‑house space – contributing to the set‑up and shutdown procedures.
Commit unwaveringly to uphold the brand's standards throughout your shift.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain the highest quality of food and beverages.
Handle online reservation systems for precise internal data monitoring and enhancing the guest experience.
Efficiently oversee the check‑in areas, administer waivers, and facilitate guest experiences.
Guarantee guest satisfaction and adeptly manage any grievances.
Foster strong relationships with guests and team members.
Consistently represent the Kraken brand in a positive manner.
Work in tandem with partners to support their product promotions within our venues.
Orchestrate exceptional Kraken‑themed events that captivate and entertain.
Be a model of relentless precision and positivity, with keen attention to detail and a spirited drive for excellence.
Qualifications
Relevant service or hospitality experience.
Ability to work safely and efficiently.
Ability to speak to groups.
Experience working with Point of Sale (POS) and reservation systems.
Experience with Microsoft 365 Products.
Flexible availability, including night and weekends.
Commitment to and alignment with the company's Core Values.
Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for short periods of time.
Must have valid DC ABRA Manager On Duty license.
The pay range for this role is:
50,000 - 55,000 USD per year (Kraken-Penn Quarter)
