About the Role Sunshine Homecare is seeking compassionate and skilled
Pediatric RNs and LPNs
to join our school-based nursing team. In this role, you will provide
one-on-one nursing care to pediatric students
within local school districts, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being throughout the school day.

Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care during school hours
Administer prescribed medications and treatments
Monitor and document the student's health status throughout the day
Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies
Assist with medical devices such as:
Feeding tubes
Catheters
Glucose monitoring & insulin coverage
Nebulizers
Tracheostomies (if applicable)
Follow care plans from the RN Case Manager and physician
Collaborate professionally with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
Maintain accurate and compliant daily documentation
Uphold infection control and safety protocols
Required Skills & Experience Clinical Skills Preferred:
G‑Tube feeding
Glucose monitoring & insulin administration
Catheterizations
Nebulizer treatments Additional Skills:
Strong pediatric assessment and care skills
Ability to remain calm and composed in emergencies
Excellent communication with children, families, and school personnel
Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits
Familiarity with infection control standards
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN program
Active New York State RN or LPN license in good standing
Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience preferred
School nursing or community health experience a plus
Current CPR certification required
