Speech Pathologist Assistant
Position: Speech Pathologist Assistant at IICA Speech, San Jose, CA.
Must have current California SLPA License. Assist speech‑language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech‑language pathologists.

Responsibilities of the Speech‑Language Pathologist Assistant
Assist speech‑language pathologists in the conduct of client screenings of language, articulation, and hearing.
Implement treatment plans or protocols as directed by speech‑language pathologists.
Assist speech‑language pathologists in the remediation or development of speech and language skills.
Collect and compile data to document clients' performance and assess program quality.
Perform support duties such as preparing materials and maintaining supplies.
Note:
The Speech and Language Assistant is NOT able to conduct evaluations, interpret data, alter treatment plans, or perform any task without the express knowledge and approval of the supervising SLP.

Active Listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

We began in the south bay and currently have clinics in San Jose CA, Roseville CA, and Kalispell/Whitefish MT. We currently have a clinical staff of 17 with lots of support from our admin team of 10.
