Responsibilities
Lead Engineering initiatives from inception to completion
Act as a technical subject matter expert for Critical Software Development and Hardware interfaces
Support the execution of Engineering activities at our clients
Support the development of electronic and electrical components for different drone’s systems
Coach and tutor younger engineers
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
10+ years' of relevant experience
Strong Mathematical/Statistical/Physics fundamental
Strong experience in DO178B/C critical software development life cycle and certification aspects
Good knowledge on the Avionics Subsystems/ LRUs & Requirement Elicitation
Expertise in Controller Software design (Model based) & LRU design
Expertise in SW development in Languages like C, C++ or Java
Experience in various SW Verification and Validation activities
Experience in HW bring up, Hardware integration experience and debugging software design issues
Good understanding of Avionics safety critical design (DO-254) and aspects of DO-160 Avionics testing is a plus
Proficiency in firmware development/programming languages
Experience as a technical lead designing hardware systems/product, that have been deployed to customers at scale
Experience in communicating with technical & business teams and management to collect requirements, describe product features and technical designs
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Experience with Unmanned Aerial Systems, Avionics electronics (compute, OS, GPS, IMU, magnetometer, air data, etc..) a Plus
Software Engineers perform requirements analysis. They then design, develop or maintain the physical application (components) or the application environment, based on the Software Architecture (models and principles). Activities include coding, integrating, implementing, installing or changing frameworks and standard components, or technical and functional application management. A Software Engineer also develops languages, methods, frameworks and tools, and/or undertakes activities in support of server-based databases in development, test and production environments.
Required Skills and Experience:
You have mastered several Software Engineering areas, applications or database environments. You act as a Software Engineering stream leader with technical delivery ownership within a (limited) number of technology areas. You contribute to bids or client proposals based on your technological expertise. You also act as a team leader with delivery ownership, and guide individuals and groups towards desired outcomes. You actively participate in at least one community and contribute to community discussions.
Qualification: 7-10 years (3 years min relevant experience in the role) experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
Certification: Should have SE Level 1 and seeking level 2.
Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering, Testing, Data Management, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
