Position Summary
Warehouse Manager – Freedom Forever is responsible for supervising all warehouse activities, including ordering, receiving, processing, recording, and distributing supplies and materials, as well as preparing and maintaining detailed records and files. The role ensures safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of installation and service materials, workplace safety, building and stock security, and proper administration of safety procedures and equipment inventory. The manager works with Headquarters and accounting to manage job costs, equipment procurement, and automated storage and retrieval systems.
Pay Range $55,000 to $70,000
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing and shipping products or materials.
- Implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
- Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
- Confer with the Branch Manager to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, records control, or purchasing.
- Review invoices, work orders or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and issue work assignments.
- Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs or replacements.
- Evaluate warehouse materials for quality maintenance.
- Schedule or monitor pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
- Conduct and participate in physical inventories to verify stock and identify losses.
- Load and unload delivery trucks for receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport.
- Maintain manual and electronic documents, files and records (e.g., purchase orders, goods receipts, inventory reports, etc.) for documentation and resource information.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks, delivery trucks with trailers) to move large and heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Receive stock and non‑stock items, ensuring specifications, quantity and quality meet orders.
- Research discrepancies on orders and invoices and correct or return damaged/incorrect items to vendors.
- Respond to staff and vendor inquiries regarding invoices, billing, delivery status, and related information.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Completed criminal background investigation.
- 1+ year of Solar experience (required).
- 3‑5 years of Warehouse Management experience.
- Experience with inventory analysis.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Accurate counting and detail orientation.
- Team player and self‑motivated, able to work unsupervised.
- Good computer skills.
- Experience operating a forklift.
Physical Demands and Abilities
- Work safely in an office/warehouse environment.
- Walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Exposure to outside weather conditions and moving mechanical parts.
- Occasions of standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing.
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold or heat.
Travel Requirements
Employee is required to travel for business purposes (excluding commute). If required to travel, must have a valid Driver’s License/Insurance and be able to drive a personal vehicle to different sites.
