Position Overview The Champaign County Family & Children First Council (FCFC) is seeking a collaborative, mission-driven
Executive Director
to lead countywide planning, development, and coordination efforts that strengthen outcomes for children, families, and service providers. This leadership role includes organizational oversight, interagency collaboration, strategic planning, fiscal coordination, and representing the Council at both local and state levels.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Social Work or a related field
Minimum
two years of supervisory experience
Administrative expertise and experience working with public service systems such as:
Mental Health
Developmental Disabilities
Job & Family Services
Juvenile Court
Children Services
Health District
Other child-serving agencies
Strong
verbal and written communication skills
Experience in
budgeting and record-keeping
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional leadership in planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of FCFC activities and community initiatives
Assist the fiscal agent with budgeting, procurement, audits, and overall financial management of the Council
Work closely with county organizations to assess community needs, analyze funding sources, and support strategic planning
Foster communication and cooperation among local child-serving agencies
Represent Champaign County FCFC at local and state meetings, on committees, and across councils
Write, submit, and manage grants and program proposals
