Overview
SAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Principal Systems Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. This position is located on-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Responsibilities
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Develop and standardize BOE, SRR, PDR processes.
Develop processes and assist in process mapping to ensure standardized and repeatable best practices.
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
Provide specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years’ related experience.
Active Secret Clearance.
Ability to design and architect complex, scalable, and resilient enterprise-level systems from concept through deployment.
The ability to see the "big picture" & understand how all system components interact & how changes in one area impact the entire system.
Familiarity with SysML and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler or similar.
Desired Skills
Experience sustaining ground-based radar systems (GBRs) or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as UEWR or PAVE PAWS.
Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) mission and associated enterprise.
Exceptional ability to diagnose complex technical issues and develop effective, data-driven solutions.
Experience maintaining national security mission networks.
Experience with containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) & knowledge of DevOps methodologies/CI/CD pipelines.
Salary Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
