Global Portfolio Manager The
Global Portfolio Manager
is responsible for driving lifecycle and end-of-life (EOL) management, market segmentation, and launch strategy across Cynosure Lutronic’s global portfolio of energy-based devices. This role ensures commercial continuity, effective portfolio transitions, and precise market targeting to maximize portfolio performance and profitability.
Working cross-functionally with Global, Regional, and Commercial teams, this leader translates portfolio and market insights into actionable strategies - balancing innovation and sustaining programs while supporting efficient product transitions and market launches.
The ideal candidate combines strong strategic and analytical skills with proven experience in lifecycle marketing, segmentation, product management and go-to-market planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
Lifecycle Management (40%)
Lead strategic and operational planning across all stages of the product lifecycle—from launch readiness and market expansion to maturity management and EOL transitions.
Drive lifecycle performance analysis and recommend actions to extend product relevance, optimize pricing, and sustain market share.
Partner with Regional Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to forecast demand, manage inventory health, and support profitability objectives.
Maintain portfolio dashboards capturing lifecycle stage, utilization, pricing evolution, and competitive positioning.
Guide cross-functional teams on EOL timing and successor product transitions to ensure business continuity and clear communication to internal and external stakeholders.
Marketing Segmentation & Launch Strategy (30%)
Develop and refine global segmentation frameworks to guide product positioning, value propositions, and targeting strategies.
Partner with regional teams to define launch priorities, go-to-market frameworks, and tailored messaging by segment and geography.
Integrate customer, market, and competitive insights into launch and post-launch optimization plans.
Define success metrics and track performance to ensure Marketing and commercial alignment across key regions.
Support portfolio strategy and prioritization processes by analyzing performance, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
Collaborate with Regional and country-level Marketing teams to balance innovation and sustaining efforts across categories.
Contribute to portfolio reviews and annual strategic planning, ensuring lifecycle and EOL decisions are aligned with long-term business objectives.
Partner with Upstream Marketing, Clinical, and Regulatory to maintain compliance and strategic alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications Education Specific Area of Study:
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Biology, Business, Marketing, or a related field
MBA preferred
Experience ☒ 5 to 8 years relevant experience
Specific Related Experience:
4+ years of experience in product or portfolio management within energy-based devices, medical aesthetics, or healthcare technology
Demonstrated expertise in lifecycle management, segmentation, and go-to-market strategy
Experience collaborating across functions and geographies in a matrixed global environment
Skills
Proven success managing lifecycle transitions and new product launches
Problem-solver with a proactive approach, exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build trust and alignment across functions and geographies.
Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on execution
