Software Development Engineer II, DSP Performance Tech
The DSP (Delivery Service Partner) team's mission is to underpin Amazon's transportation network, handling all delivery types with scalable, innovative, and low-cost operations. We exist in 18 countries, delivering >10B packages annually representing the majority of WW Amazon Logistics (AMZL) volume. We empower our delivery vendors to build high quality, safe, and sustainable logistics companies. Responsibilities
Ownership of product/feature end‑to‑end for all phases from development to production.
Ensuring the developed features are scalable and highly available with no quality concerns.
Work closely with peer engineers for refining the design and implementation.
Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments.
Assist directly and indirectly in the hiring and development of technical talent.
Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in collaboration with business and project management efforts.
Contribute intellectual property through innovation and driving best practices, patents.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
3+ years of Video Games Industry experience (supporting title development, release, or live ops).
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
2+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object‑oriented design.
1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
