We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Phlebotomist. Position Summary This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of donors and the purity of product during the plasma collection process. The phlebotomist monitors donors throughout collection, manages equipment errors, donor reactions, and any unexpected events, and ensures appropriate actions are taken when such events occur. The role also involves interpreting health history and vital signs in relation to company procedures, setting up automated collection instruments, monitoring donors, disconnecting donors from instruments, managing Level 1 reactions, and ensuring product integrity and proper storage. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Identify donors in accordance with SOPs. Greet donors in a courteous and professional manner. Set up and readies the collection device appropriately. Perform arm scrub correctly to ensure donor safety and product purity. Verify labels are printed clearly, legible, and correctly aligned. Label the collection bottle as defined in ADMA SOPs. Collect and label required samples at the donor bedside. Inspect soft goods prior to use to confirm no breakage, kinks, or contamination. Perform quality control of area equipment. Operate automated collection equipment in accordance with ADMA SOPs and manufacturer’s instructions. Physically arrange cases and samples in the freezer to maintain organization. Perform quality control of equipment used in processing and packing areas. Obtain backup samples as required for the laboratory or customers. Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information. Assist with administrative duties to support Donor Center initiatives. Attend scheduled staff training and staff meetings. Support additional duties related to business needs as assigned by management. Monitor donors for signs of reaction before, during, and after plasmapheresis. Accurately document collection issues in the applicable center system and in accordance with center SOP. Disconnect donors from automated collection equipment and ensure donor is in good physical condition prior to release. Complete all documentation requirements accurately for machine and donation software systems. Report all unsafe situations or conditions to immediate supervisor. Competencies Ability to understand and interpret government regulations and customer specifications. Ability to work in a high‑pressure, deadline‑driven environment. Computer proficiency with intermediate skills in office programs. Preferred Experience Previous experience as a phlebotomist in a blood or plasma collection center. Minimum of 12 months in the health field or a combination of experience and education equivalent to this requirement. Compliance Requirements Strictly adhere to all cGMPs, ADMA SOPs, and applicable regulations. Complete annual GMP training. Maintain an organized and clean work environment; clean splatters, spills, and floors appropriately before moving to the next task. Ensure supplies are available as needed. Disinfect the bed thoroughly between each donor. Teach donors to use the self‑administered questionnaire and assist as needed. Perform donor arm checks. Determine donor vital signs and weight, and properly record results in the donor center system. Determine donor suitability by reviewing questionnaire responses and confirming correct answers. Defer donors based on knowledge of donor acceptance and deferral criteria. Explain deferrals and associated time frames to donors.
