Overview Allient Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Electronics Technician to join our team in Watertown, New York. The Technician will install, troubleshoot, and repair electronic systems and equipment used in industrial manufacturing.

Compensation Base pay range: $25.00/hr – $35.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment with minimal supervision using safe techniques and following all regulations.

Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery and equipment.

Install power‑supply wiring and PVC for newly installed machines and equipment.

Perform electrical tasks and incidental work as needed.

Replace electronic components, verify equipment functionality, and maintain a clean, safe area.

Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC machine repairs as required.

Operate in response to requests by operations or support personnel, setting priorities to maximize equipment uptime.

Use required tools (calipers, dial indicators, electrical meters, diagnostic devices) to define problem areas and assist with resolution.

Utilize measurement devices to keep print tolerances and industry standards during repairs and assembly.

Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve uptime and equipment life; recommend improvements to PM systems/tasks.

Follow designated work instructions, including PM work orders, continuous improvement tasks, and repair/refurbish assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Degree or equivalent required; 2‑year Associate Degree preferred.

5‑8 years of related experience desired.

Experience with PLC ladder logic and diagrams; troubleshooting Fanuc and Mitsubishi drive electronics desired.

Good hand‑eye coordination required for precise installation and repair.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands, fingers, and reach with hands and arms.

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
