Summary
Project Manager II will play a crucial role in overseeing all phases of construction projects. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can manage diverse teams and ensure project success from initiation through completion.
Roles & Responsibilities
Mentor and coach
Position every project for owner success and Bobbitt success
Accompany the sales team on sales interviews as needed
Assist and collaborate with the preconstruction team for constructability and budget reviews
Develop schedules and cost-effective plans for completion of any assigned project during preconstruction and construction
Originate all subcontracts and purchase orders in accordance with Bobbitt standards
Coordinate and schedule the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate
Regularly inspect work for quality and timeliness; prepare and provide progress reports to owners and architects; make recommendations for necessary modifications
Proficient with Procore construction management software
Responsible for accurate cost management and CTC reporting
Collaborate with architect, engineer, attorney, and other pertinent stakeholders to ensure specifications, zoning requirements, and other regulations are met
Consistently provide project leads
Routinely requested by repeat customers to manage their project
Run multiple projects at the highest caliber of professionalism and proficiency
Assist with Bobbitt project close‑out process
Required Knowledge, Experience & Competencies
Valid driver’s license
10‑hour OSHA certification
Safety certifications as required
Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans
Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites
Thorough understanding of quality building practices
Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them
Be involved in the sales process and attend RFQ interviews and owner meetings
Routinely be requested by repeat customers to manage projects
Must know how to do project schedules
Strong communication skills, negotiation skills and customer service skills
Must be able to do submittals (and logs), RFIs (and logs), PCOs (and logs)
Run efficient owner‑architect‑client meetings
Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
Experience with complex projects
Experience with team member management
Must show ability to complete projects on time and be profitable
Full responsibility of the financial outcome of the project
Preferred Knowledge, Experience & Competencies
OSHA 30
Mentorship skills
Quick problem‑solving skills
Interiors knowledge a plus
Work Format This position requires team collaboration and presence at in‑person meetings and is best suited to a traditional work schedule. Occasional remote work is acceptable.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel (10‑15%) to meetings and events, typically within a 150‑mile radius of the office
Travel to various job site locations as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 75 lbs. as needed
Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to see well (naturally or with correction)
