Team Leader: Stamping and Cables 2nd Shift
HI-LEX North America is seeking a Team Leader for the Stamping and Cables 2nd Shift. This role is responsible for monitoring associate work to ensure production requirements are met, maintaining safety and quality standards, performing line adjustments, and training associates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitors work of associates to ensure production requirements are met.
Ensures quality standards are met and approves finished product.
Monitors cleanliness and safety of the worksite.
Performs product problem solving and corrective actions.
Works to ensure QMS goals are attained.
Performs production line adjustments when necessary.
Completes required forms and paperwork.
Trains associates in machine processes and problem solving.
Loads, unloads trucks and moves materials throughout the plant.
Verifies quantities, lot numbers, labels and correctness of parts.
Notifies materials control of any discrepancies in materials received or shipped.
Arranges and condenses stock to maximize usage, maintaining lot and FIFO control.
Checks locations and counts for accuracy.
Uses material in proper sequence.
Oversees Vendor Sort and Customer complaint issues.
May perform other miscellaneous jobs in shipping and receiving.
May maintain location of material in racks in PC.
Will take intermediate level of responsibility to Safety for Employees, Building, Plant and Grounds.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Serves as a member of various committees as needed.
Repairs minor machine problems.
Temporary job fill in for absentees on production lines.
Follows all safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Performs other duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS SPECIALIZED TRAINING, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE:
Use of powered industrial truck, hand pallet jack, wrapping machine, scale, computer and printer. Associates degree or previous supervisory experience preferred. 2–4 years experience in a manufacturing setting. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Knowledge of blueprints, SPC, QS, Q1, ISO and TS.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS
Office environment with noise from computer peripherals such as printers and disk drives.
Also works in factory environment with noise from manufacturing equipment. Exposure to moving equipment, parts and electrical shock. Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects – weighing up to 25 pounds.
