About The Role
Responsible for supporting and maintaining small cell & DAS networks that are currently serving the Nation’s largest wireless carriers. Year‑round objectives include first response to outages and impairments, making required repairs to the assigned networks, and completing annual preventative maintenance inspections of remote DAS/SC equipment and related host equipment. The role also involves various computer‑related administrative tasks, such as uploading photos and documents using GUI pages and many web‑based tools. Safe work practices must be applied to all work‑related tasks, with a focus on integrity, quality, and attention to detail. What You Will Do
Perform all activities in a manner that ensures the safety of yourself, your team, your customers and the public. Respond to all network outages, impairments and emergencies in the DAS/SC network you are assigned. Complete all assigned annual preventative maintenance inspections thoroughly and accurately, to Crown standards. Operate and understand RF and fiber‑related test equipment, such as PIM analyzer, antenna analyzer, RF power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, OTDR, fusion splicer, and optic power meter. Operate PC or similar devices to gain access to the DAS/SC network and complete assigned administrative tasks. Work efficiently and effectively with cross‑functional departments and peers. First‑line acceptance of all new and modified networks using the Network Handoff Process. Ensure timely acceptance of all assigned tickets and meet all SLA, resolve time and MTTR targets in your assigned area. Education Qualifications
High School Degree or equivalent required. Associate’s degree, two‑year technical degree or equivalent military/special electronics training experience strongly preferred. A valid state driver’s license required. Experience Qualifications
Two (2) or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields: wireless communications, outside‑plant fiber optic installations, repair, testing and troubleshooting. Knowledge of radio transmitters, receivers, antennas, electronic theory, and fiber optic theory. Ability to safely drive and operate a DOT‑compliant boom truck in the public right‑of‑way. Ability to work closely with and provide guidance to vendors both on‑site and remotely. Ability to analyze and understand PIM/Sweep test data. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. Skilled in trouble‑ticket or work‑order systems. Exposure to network monitoring systems. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while managing time for maximum efficiency. DOT, OSHA, fiber optic, and PIM or antenna analyzer certifications (preferred). Field: This remote role requires a location within commuting distance to the client site and involves travel to customer and/or project sites with exposure to heavy equipment and environmental conditions over 90% of the time. Occasional office work with minimal environmental exposure deems this a normal office setting at approximately 10% of the time. The position will cover swing shift hours, potentially weekends, and requires on‑call rotation participation. Travel away from the home location for extended periods may be required. The pay range offered for this position is $29.42 - $40.43 per hour. Offers are determined by various factors, including depth of experience, role‑related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
