The Logistics Analyst is a critical, high‑visibility role within Shorr’s rapidly growing organization. This position is responsible for collaborating with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Product Vendors and Freight Carriers in supporting all aspects of the Supply Chain. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordination of outbound 3PL, inbound vendor and drop‑ship shipments, ensuring timely deliveries to meet customer requirements. The Analyst must develop a strong understanding of day‑to‑day tactical operations from shipment management, order receipt, carrier selection to final delivery, and identify opportunities for service and cost improvements. Responsibilities
Facilitate communication between Operations, Sales, Vendors and Customer Service to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain. Optimize carriers to achieve required service levels at the most competitive price. Manage the execution of the entire shipment and transportation life cycle from order receipt and carrier tender through final delivery to customer. Perform daily shipment tracking for strategic customer deliveries to ensure expectations are met. Monitor carrier service KPIs and conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions when metrics fall below thresholds. Identify and partner with the Corporate Logistics Manager on cost‑saving and operational improvement opportunities. Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met. Manage freight invoice exceptions. Utilize the Transportation Management System to quote and route shipments cost‑effectively. Communicate and resolve service issues quickly and efficiently. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or a related field. Minimum 2+ years’ experience in transportation planning, logistics, warehouse operations, or overall supply chain management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Distribution and warehouse operations experience is a plus. Knowledge of OTR, LTL, and parcel shipment modes and their operations. Experience with TMS systems and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Experience in outsourced Managed Transportation Programs. International logistics experience preferred. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and project‑management skills, with a team‑player mindset. Ability to move from task to task in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent organization and the capability to handle diverse issues and assignments. Firm grasp of logistics, supply chain, inventory, distribution, transportation, business, and management principles. Quick critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities. Strong MS Office skills, including intermediate Excel proficiency and report interpretation. Benefits
