Purchasing and Contracts Analyst
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a Purchasing and Contracts Analyst. The Incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and directing complex contracts, leases and insurance documents; with specific responsibility for implementing purchasing activities in compliance with mandated requirements; overseeing daily activities; and responding to a range of inquiries regarding processes or bid status.

At-a-Glance Position Information Type of position: Full-Time – Monday – Friday
Salary: Range CL-45 – $37.33 - $46.68 Hourly ($6,470 - $8,091 Monthly based on 40 hours per week)
Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($37.33 per hour) or B ($39.47 per hour) on the salary schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business administration with coursework in purchasing, contracts, or acquisitions.
Experience: Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in public or private sector purchasing and contracts field. Purchasing and contracts experience, specializing in public works, including one year of lead responsibility preferred.

Veteran’s Points

The assessment process may include any combination of the following:

Supplemental training and experience screening, documentation or certification screening
Written assessment (in-person only, cannot be completed remotely)
Performance assessment (in-person same time as written assessment)
Oral assessment (over Zoom; accommodations provided if needed)
The District reserves the right to utilize a flexible pass point (cut-off) on any test part.
If you participate and fail any assessment segment, you must wait 90 days to apply again for the same classification in a posted recruitment.
