The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as an
Information Security Engineer . The Incumbent is responsible for implementing and maintaining the District's Information Technology (IT) security programs and initiatives. This involves installing, monitoring, and supporting information security systems and processes for the district, protecting against identified risks, defending against information security threats, responding to security incidents, mitigating vulnerabilities, and ensuring the District complies with federally mandated standards. Range CL-48 $40.79 - $51.01 Hourly $7,070 - $8,841 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)
Initial Salary Placement:
New employees start at Step A ($40.79 per hour) or B ($43.13 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in cybersecurity, information technology, systems engineering, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience involving applications and/or IT infrastructure systems, including one year of IT security-related experience involving risk identification and mitigation, security architecture development and compliance.
Experience in a public agency is preferred.
