As a Project Manager – Low Voltage Systems at

Z-Modular , a division of

Zekelman Industries , you will play a key role in managing the planning, coordination, and execution of low voltage projects across multiple sites. This position requires strong project management, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communication skills and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to on‑time, on‑budget, and high‑quality delivery of structured cabling and technology infrastructure. You will collaborate with field supervisors, subcontractors, design teams, and internal stakeholders, ensuring that all phases of the project lifecycle—from preconstruction through execution—are aligned with business goals and client expectations. This is a hybrid role with occasional on‑site attendance located in Chandler, AZ, primarily supporting operations in the Phoenix metro area. There is a strong preference for candidates based in the Phoenix area. If based outside the Phoenix metro, an average of 25% travel may be required, though this amount can fluctuate from month to month depending on the construction stage of each site and overall site needs. What You’ll Do

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables for low voltage system installations. Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and clients to ensure scope alignment and resolve design discrepancies. Lead preconstruction efforts including scope reviews, vendor onboarding, and submittal tracking. Partner with Field Supervisors to align onsite execution with project timelines and specifications. Oversee subcontractor performance and enforce quality and safety standards. Conduct regular project meetings to track milestones, address issues, and maintain team alignment. Monitor project budgets and financial performance to ensure compliance with targets. Negotiate vendor pricing and manage the impact of scope changes. Ensure accurate and timely documentation including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and as‑builts. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery. Perform other duties as assigned. Who You Are

5+ years of experience in project management for low voltage, structured cabling, or related systems. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, IT, or a related field preferred. Strong knowledge of structured cabling, CCTV, access control, AV, Wi‑Fi, and BMS systems. Familiarity with industry standards such as ANSI/TIA/EIA and BICSI best practices. Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and vendor contracts. Proficiency in MS Office and project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and submittals. Willingness to travel up to 25% for site support and coordination.
