Project Manager – Transmission Projects
Overview The Project Manager will oversee the development of high-voltage transmission projects, with occasional support on substation initiatives. This role manages early-stage planning, permitting, routing, engineering coordination, and stakeholder engagement to bring projects to a construction-ready stage.
Key Responsibilities
Lead planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination for transmission project development.
Support routing studies, permitting, environmental reviews, land acquisition, and utility interconnection tasks.
Coordinate with engineering, environmental, land, regulatory, and design teams.
Serve as primary contact for internal groups, agencies, consultants, landowners, and stakeholders.
Prepare development documents including conceptual design packages, route maps, and schedules.
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Provide periodic updates and reporting to leadership.
Occasionally support development of substation projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience in transmission project management or utility development experience; substation exposure preferred.
Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple development workstreams.
