Salary: $100,071 - $110,079 (including 15% Geo Modifier)
PILOT INCENTIVES
Base Pilot Supervisor Annual Stipend: $5,000
$15,000 sign‑on bonus and $40,000 retention bonus after 3 years, all locations
7/7 schedule
24‑hour base housing provided at all locations
Job Summary Ensures all operations involving Company aircraft are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all state and municipal regulations. The Base Pilot Supervisor (BPS) is the front‑line supervisor for the Line Pilots assigned to the base and works with the Program Director to ensure the base operates efficiently, safely and economically.
Responsibilities
Develops and coordinates pilot duty schedules with the Regional Director of Flight Operations.
Coordinates flight‑planning activities and resources with the Program Director.
Conducts local area orientations for all new‑hire pilots assigned to the base.
Coordinates aviation activities for public‑relations events.
Reviews, corrects, and submits each pilot’s monthly flight/duty log to the Regional Director of Flight Operations.
Monitors pilots at the base and assists in day‑to‑day management of flight and administrative issues.
Submits payroll grids for assigned pilots to the Regional Director of Flight Operations.
Operates aircraft safely and efficiently, emphasizing compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual.
Monitors forecast changes and current weather situations.
Conducts preflight inspections and records discrepancies in the engineering log, notifying maintenance of any required corrective action.
Reports to shift, rested and prepared for duty, staying current on weather forecasts.
Qualifications Meet the requirements of a Base Line Pilot:
2,000 hours total flight time.
1,500 hours helicopter time.
1,000 hours helicopter pilot in command.
500 hours turbine.
100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided.
Preferred
Previous HAA experience or equivalent.
One year of experience as a pilot with a GMR company.
Previous supervisory experience helpful.
Education and Credentials
Rotorcraft‑Helicopter Commercial Certificate.
Rotorcraft‑Helicopter Instrument Rating.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Other Requirements
Weight limit 230 pounds while wearing flight suit and boots.
