Compensation & Benefits
Annual stipend: $5,000
Salary range: $87,019 – $95,720
Sign‑on bonus: $15,000
Retention bonus: $40,000 after 3 years
Schedule: 7/7
24‑hour base housing at all locations
Job Summary Ensures all operations involving Company aircraft comply with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all state and municipal regulations. The Base Pilot Supervisor (BPS) is the front‑line supervisor for the Line Pilots assigned to the base and works in conjunction with the Program Director to ensure the base operates efficiently, safely, and economically.
Responsibilities
Develop and coordinate pilot duty schedules with the Regional Director of Flight Operations.
Coordinate flight planning activities and resources with the Program Director.
Conduct local area orientations for all new‑hire pilots.
Coordinate aviation activities for public‑relations events.
Review, correct, and submit each base pilot’s monthly flight/duty log in a timely manner.
Monitors pilots at the base and assists in day‑to‑day flight and administrative issues.
Submit all assigned base pilot’s payroll grids to the Regional Director of Flight Operations.
Operate aircraft safely and efficiently, emphasizing compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual.
Monitor forecast changes and current weather situations.
Conduct preflight of the aircraft prior to starting shift and/or accepting transports or flights.
Report to shift rested and prepared for duty, staying current of weather and forecast changes.
Qualifications
2000 total flight hours
1500 helicopter hours
1000 helicopter pilot in command hours
500 turbine hours
100 night unaided hours, or 50 unaided with 100 aided hours
Rotorcraft‑Helicopter Commercial Certificate
Rotorcraft‑Helicopter Instrument Rating
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Previous HAA experience or equivalent; one year of experience as a Pilot with a GMR company; previous supervisory experience helpful.
Other 230‑pound weight limit dressed in flight suit and boots.
