The ideal candidate will have a strong background supporting attorneys in litigation matters, managing deadlines, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
- File documents in state and federal courts, including e-filing.
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and court schedules.
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, and meetings.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
- Assist with trial preparation, exhibits, and binders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Secretary.
- Strong knowledge of court filing procedures and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance: 50% paid by the firm, 50% by the employee.
- 401(k): Discretionary employer matching.
- Transportation stipend: $120, paid semi-monthly.
