The core faculty member in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program contributes to the programs mission of preparing compassionate, evidence-based clinicians to serve diverse and rural communities. The DPT program is grounded in community engagement, rural health and teaching and learning practices supporting competency-based education. The faculty member will engage in teaching, service to include clinical practice, and scholarship activities consistent with program expectations. The core faculty member will:
Teach in areas aligned with clinical and scholarly expertise within the DPT curriculum. Contribute to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of a competency-based, integrated curriculum. Provide clinical instruction and mentorship to students through participation in the DPT programs pro bono physical therapy practice, consistent with their area of clinical expertise. Engage in scholarly activities that support evidence-based practice, teaching innovation, or community engagement. Participate in program, school, university, and professional service activities, including committee work, program assessment, and accreditation processes. Contribute to a collaborative faculty culture that emphasizes student success, inclusivity, and community partnership.
