Our client, a long-established and steadily growing organization based in White Plains, NY, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple business units.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys both hands-on accounting work and leading a small team. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, experience managing a full month-end close, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff; ensure accurate and timely completion of daily accounting functions

  • Review financials, variance analyses, and cash flow reporting

  • Oversee accounting for multiple entities and intercompany transactions

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls

  • Collaborate with operations, finance leadership, and cross-functional teams to support business objectives

  • Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors

  • Improve and maintain processes within the company's ERP system

  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel-based reports and analyses to support decision-making

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory xrczosw or senior-level role

  • Industry experience in corporate accounting, manufacturing, or professional services preferred

  • ERP system experience required (Yardi reference removed-you can sub in your system of choice)

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • CPA or progress toward CPA a plus
